A New Challenge: #ginmovechallenge

So it’s time for me to challenge myself again.  Back in April, Dave (my husband) and I did a health challenge to help us loose weight and see who could loose the most body fat (by %).  Dave won and I came in third.  Since then I have lost over 16 lbs and I feel great.

For the last couple of years I have consistently been going to different exercise classes 3 to 4 times a week at Freestone Recreation Center here in Gilbert, AZ.  I love their instructors, and I really enjoy working out in a class environment.  You get to know the other ladies (and men) and support each other.  And I get accountability to go, which I totally need.

I am a website designer so I spend most of my days behind a computer and not moving much.  My body does not like it, I have back, shoulder and arm issues :(.  So I know how important moving, getting massages and seeing a chiropractor is.

So I am challenging myself to do 30 minutes or more of exercise a day for the next 5 weeks in order give my body the movement it deserves.  It will be doing classes, walking, swimming and biking.

on Day 1 (today) I went for a 45 minute walk as I will be missing my usual Monday afternoon Bootcamp class as I am going to see Shania Twain in concert in my girlfriends! 😉

I will be writing a post here and there with some updates as I will be tracking my weight (my next goal is to loose another 7 lbs) and measurements,  and I will be posting on my Instagram daily with the hashtag #ginmovechallenge to keep me accountable!  If you want to join me, post and use the hashtag.
